I don’t have the cash to go to any of the local gun clubs to hunt. Does anyone know of any good places in the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, Acton and Castaic areas to hunt quail?

Good quail hunting can be found around rattlesnake mountain in the san bernardino mountains behind big bear. Also above glendora off the glendora mtn road. Any terrain you find deer in you will also find quail.

The same standards and morals to follow when hunting BIG game animals, or for that matter ANY animals you may hunt. Be a good shot by practicing a lot. ALWAYS keep your shot placement careful, clean, and accurate to reduce crippling a bird or animal, and to produce the most swift, efficient, and humane demise possible. No real sportsman wants to see an animal suffer needlessly. Not even a dove or a quail. Right? And even though it is scientifically proved that animals do not feel pain in the ways or to the degree that humans do, it is still a good practice to practice and practice some more until you are able to "shoot to kill" swiftly and humanely.
