I am 16 years old. I live in Tomball, Texas about an hour outside Houston. I have applied to Dollar General, Toys R Us, Target, Kroger, Urban Outfitters, McDonald’s, HEB, and Lowe’s.
Dollar General, Toys R Us, Target, HEB, and Lowe’s have rejected me.

I have never had a job before, this would be my first job. I would preferably want to work in a store, not a fast food place; but if necessary I will. I tried applying to Gap inc. but they REQUIRE one previous work experience. I am willing to do anything, and work any amount of hours, but I just can’t find a job.

Every place I look at either requires you to be 18, or previous work experience, or they just rejected me. I’m in high school (going into 11th grade), will get my license next week, I have a ton of leadership and team experience because I’m in ROTC (which I take seriously), I take advanced classes…but because I have no previous employment I’m having major trouble finding a job.

I NEED a summer job that I may continue working during school. I am trying very hard actually. I may not have listed all the places I’ve applied to…I’ve applied to around 10+ places, and partially filled out other applications….So far most have rejected me, and others simply haven’t replied.

I would like to know what are the best places to apply to for a first job, I’m looking but I’m having a lot of trouble.?
