Road Creek Lodge
Loa, Utah

"A day in the country is worth a month in town."
The old addage, "There is no place like this place anywhere near
this place" could have been used to describe the Road Creek Lodge. Located high
in a mountain valley in scenic Wayne County, Utah, Loa is barely a dot on a detailed map.
Here the elevations go from 7000 ft. on the valley floor to over 12,000 ft in the
surrounding mountains. The western flavor of this remote region is all but gone anywhere
else.
Cattle and sheep ranching are still a way of life here. Log cabins,
weathered barns and Victorian farmhouses are a reminder of a life most of us have only seen
in movies. A century ago, Loa was a hideout for two of America's most infamous outlaws, Butch Cassidy
and the Sundance Kid. Today it is a favorite haunt of archeologists, outdoor sportsman, geologists,
and photographers.
For those looking for a place to lay their head while enjoying the mountain splendor
of this beautiful area, the Road Creek Lodge offers an excellent place to relax and forget
the cares of the world. Steeped in history, Road Creek Lodge is unlike anywhere else in the
world.
