The historic Okerlund Family Barn is an excellent example of the old addage, "Never judge a book by its cover". This 100 year-old structure was built by George Okerlund, an immigrant from Sweden and one of the earliest settlers to the valley. The log cabin attached to the barn housed his family.
Now preserved and refurbished, the Okerlund Family Barn includes six private rooms with private baths, a game room, and an outdoor cooking and eating area. The Okerlund Family Barn comforatbly sleeps up to 40 people. The hayloft has been transformed into a sleeping area for large groups, with eight double beds with feather comforters. The lower loft includes a full kitchen, living area, television, and private room with a queen bed.
The lower barn includes 5 beatifully finished rooms. Rooms two, three, and four are connected by the "sitting room", a small room with a couch, television, coffee maker, and microwave. The connection of these rooms make family vacations a snap. These rooms can be reserved individually or as a group. Most rooms also feature a hide-a-bed just in case you need an extra bed.
The game room includes a pool table and ping pong, along with vending machines in case someone gets a case of the munchies!! Each room includes its own television, as well as beautiful dressers to make you feel a little more at home.
All rooms are non-smoking. Pets are not allowed inside the rooms, however, we do offer
kennels for your pets at no extra cost.
