Road Creek Ranch

Trophy Catch & Release Fishing

The fishing at Road Creek Ranch is excellent. We boast 5 trophy Catch and Release Ponds that hold Rainbow, Brooke, German brown, Cutthroat and Steel head! Guests frequently hook into their lifetime largest fish: often in the 10+ lb range! These fish fight to the fly line backing until they are caught and released to fight another day. More than 3,500 Gallons per minute of constant temperature water feed the ponds. So they are "ice free" year round.
Aquatic insects range from Blue Duns to big Damsel flies. In short, the fishing is fantastic! To add even greater appeal, Road Creek Ranch has developed one of the West's only private fishing streams. Yes, Road Creek Ranch has developed a mile of private stream that runs from the bottom pond at the Rod & Gun Club through the fertile fields that surround Road Creek. At the end of the stream lies another fishing pond, so you can work your way back and forth fishing until you are ready to drop.
Road Creek also has available experienced fly fishing guides or instructors. So whether you are a seasoned veteran looking for just the right pattern to "slay" the big ones, or just beginning the sport of fly fishing we can provide what you need to have a quality experience. Our instructors can teach you the art of fly casting, knots, entomology and pond and stream dynamics. You can also have an introduction to fly tying and the use of nymphs and drys to catch fish. Road Creeks able instructors or guides will improve you skills and make the sport more enjoyable for you.
