I was wondering what it took to become a guide for hunting pheasants
It takes several things. One, an above average knowledge of Pheasant Hunting. Two, a world class kennel of bird dogs. Three, a high population of wild pheasants and access to them. Fourth, the necessary skills to lead and develop a rapport with people so they are assured of having an enjoyable hunt. Fifth, the knowledge and ethics of a world class shooting sportsman. Sixth, certification in first aid and CPR. Seventh, liability insurance. Eight, any guide and hunting licenses as required by law.
Lots and lots of land, and/or connections with farm owners with land, a vehicle big enough to transport clients and their gear, and some good gun dogs (quite a few so you can rotate them in and out of the truck to keep them fresh). That’s really all there is to it.
