Places to hunt quail in Los Angeles County?

I don’t have the cash to go to any of the local gun clubs to hunt. Does anyone know of any good places in the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, Acton and Castaic areas to hunt quail?

Good Quail Hunting can be found around rattlesnake mountain in the san bernardino mountains behind big bear. Also above glendora off the glendora mtn road. Any terrain you find deer in you will also find quail.

    Not sure about L.A. Co. but there are plenty of good places next door in San Bernardino Co. I don’t bird hunt but have seen plenty of quail in the Mojave National Preserve while deer hunting. You are not allowed to plink there but you are allowed to hunt as long as you have a license and proper stamp, best of all it’s almost all public land.
